Abstract
The generalized type-II hybrid SR ARQ system using punctured convolutional coding proposed by Kallel and Haccoun (1990) is generalized to point-to-multipoint communications. An analytical expression is derived for the throughput efficiency of the point-to-multipoint communication scheme. Numerical results show that the throughput efficiency decreases when the number of receivers increases. When the number of receivers equals 1, the scheme becomes the point-to-point communication scheme proposed by Kallel and Haccoun.
