Abstract :
The sliding mode control (SMC) approach is used for a class of hybrid systems (HSs), which consist of a continuous plant, an interface and a discrete state controller. The equivalent nondeterministic discrete-state system is represented in the form of a deterministic automaton with disturbance input. The introduction of the sliding mode concept leads to a design which is invariant to disturbances, and also, the solution of the stabilization problem.
