Abstract
In this continuously changing world, it is impossible to avoid the effects of these alterations that force the companies rethink about their organizational structure. Since the companies are challenging the new economic mode, the need for redesigning structure become more serious and clear. The firms that give no reactions to these changes have no chance to survive in the competitive markets. Turkey expects and seems to become an EU member at the end of following decade. The process of becoming an EU member requires the reengineering and restructuring in Turkish public sector, which will be the most challenging event in the history of Turkey. For the last decade, we have faced with many reengineering projects, many of which didn´t have any success because of the lacking of a clear strategy and vision. Our paper´s aim was to explain the project path for a successful reengineering strategy for a distinguished Turkish public sector firm in the framework of EU expectations and of the participation of all stakeholders. With these clear strategies, Turkish public sector can hold its position and can answer all the needs of a would-member of EU
