Abstract
Quality factor control of active resonator through the bias circuit is developed and applied to the band pass filter. The amount of negative resistance of resonator for inductor loss compensation is controlled using bias resistor and Q-factor larger than 1,000 is obtained from 435GHz to 4.6GHz. The 3dB bandwidth of band pass filter is 60MHz at 5.6GHz with small size and low supply voltage using this high Q resonator, and shows ldB gain compression point of-9dBm at input.
