Abstract
TCP is the most commonly used transport protocol on the Internet tuned to perform well in traditional networks made up of wired links with low bit error rates. Networks with higher bit error rates, such as those with wireless links, violate many of the assumptions made by TCP, causing degradation of end-to-end performance. In this paper we present modification of LogWestwood+ TCP in order to improve its performance in wireless environment using different levels of aggressiveness in the case of congestion loss and in the case of wireless loss.
