Abstract
This paper analyses a power system formed by a combustion engine and an electric linear generator. Such system allows to transmit the power from a combustion engine directly to an electric generator without a crank mechanism and a fly wheel. The classical solution is compared with new system. Results of calculations are presented. They show that some optimum speed exists for the concrete aggregate and that increasing of speed requires uneconomic increasing of the linear generator size. The prototype of such aggregate was designed, constructed and is now tested.
