Abstract :
The paper is focused on the analysis of diode-transistor circuits having multiple DC solutions considering the thermal behavior of the chip. A feedback between the power dissipated inside the chip and temperature which affects the circuit parameters and consequently the solutions is taken into account. The paper extends some earlier results and offers an efficient algorithm for tracing the characteristic expressing an output signal in terms of the ambient temperature with the thermal constraint of the chip. The characteristic enable us to find all the DC solutions, allowing the thermal behavior of the chip, at different ambient temperatures. Two numerical examples illustrate the proposed approach.
