  • Abstract
Much attention has been devoted to investigation and development of the off-line programming of industrial robots. Investigation of the industrial robots´ operation can be done on the real system: industrial robot+working environment (machining center, flexible manufacturing cell, etc.). The other way is the 3D simulation of industrial robot and working environment on working station with application of the corresponding program package. The subject of this work is to simulate all this on a personal computer with application and upgrading of significantly cheaper, commercial packages, aimed for personal computers, like PCs based on the 80486 processor. As the corresponding CAD system for design and derivation of the model of an industrial robot the program package AutoCad, release 12.0, was applied. For simulation of industrial robot motion and operation the 3D Studio 2.0 program package for simulation and motion animation was used.
