Abstract :
In this paper, a generalized type-II hybrid SR ARQ scheme using punctured convolutional coding proposed by Kallel and Haccoun (1990) is generalized to point-to-multipoint communications for an ideally interleaved Rayleigh fading additive white Gaussian noise channel. An analytical expression is derived for the throughput efficiency of this scheme. Numerical results show that the throughput efficiency of the scheme decreases when the number of receivers increases. If there is one receiver, the proposed scheme becomes the point-to-point communication scheme studied by Kallel and Haccoun.
