Abstract :
The paper describes an expert system for the power systems steady state diagnosis (PSSD). After the introduction, the second section presents the theoretical background regarding the applying of the model based diagnosis (MBD) to the power systems steady state operation. Basic concepts and the MBD models for the discussed case are given. Within the third section, the PSSD structure and its components are presented. Database, knowledge base and user interface are described. The main functors and rules implemented in the Prolog language are given. The forth section presents a case study for a 50 buses test power system, followed by conclusions.
