  • Abstract
In this paper, the human exposure to electromagnetic field radiated from the communication transmitter on the ship deck is analyzed. Two simplified models of the human body exposed to the electromagnetic radiation, the parallelepiped model for the calculation of SAR and cylindrical model for the calculation of the current induced in the human, are used. The fields were measured on 36 different locations of the 45 m steel ship and the obtained results were analyzed according to INCIRP and IEEE recommendations for human exposure to electromagnetic fields. The calculations of the SAR and the current density induced in the human body were found to be below appropriate limits.
