Abstract :
The paper presents several factors that must be taken into account when designing an uplink scheduling algorithm. Many scheduling methods have been developed, but none of them was standardized yet and the implementation remains vendor specific. Using QualNet, the Strict Priority algorithm was simulated using two different network topologies. The way the uplink resources are allocated is analyzed for both developed scenarios.
