Abstract
In highly competitive markets, management of the reliability tests is highly critical under time to market pressure. The best example for such competitive markets is consumer electronics. The consumer electronics products are rapidly evolving and there are a lot of competitive companies in the market. And also consumer expectations on products are very high. An alive and metric scoring must be defined to manage and judge the reliability level of each new project in a very large scale company, Vestel, which produces 10 million TV sets per year. Complete reliability test procedures and new scoring approach is introduced. The test procedures are organized as product level or board level which includes power boards and main boards of products. The scoring approach and method, is called maturity level, is an indicator of the overall reliability of a product.
