Abstract
In this paper the performance of slotted waveguide antenna array is presented. Due to high level of undesirable cross-polarized lobes some works had to be done to reduce that effect. First, the reason of appearing these lobes was investigated and described. After that two different ways to reduce that phenomenon based on wire and waveguide polarization filter were presented. The simple formulas suitable to analyze both structures were described. Fabricated models of polarization filter were implemented in aperture of antenna array, the performance was measured. That allowed pointing out advantages and disadvantages of these structures utilized in radar antenna arrays and formulating final conclusions.
