Abstract :
Point-to-multipoint (P2MP) labeled switched paths (LSPs) are used for services such as video broadcast (IPTV), IP and Ethernet VPNs. Benefits of deploying P2MP LSPs are reduced bandwidth usage, improved performance and enhanced scalability. TOTEM (Toolbox for Traffic Engineering Methods) is an open source Traffic Engineering (TE) toolbox containing tools and algorithms for optimizing IP and (G)MPLS networks. In this work we have extended TOTEM to support constrained P2MP LSPs´ setup. With these extensions TOTEM can be used as a basis for implementing and comparing different optimization algorithms for establishing and protecting P2MP LSPs in MPLS based networks.
