Abstract :
This paper deals with some of the important aspects of the modelling of a recuperator plant which consists of four heat exchangers using an object-oriented multi-domain modelling approach. These new concepts use physically oriented connections and algebraic manipulations to enable the acausal modelling. The traditional and used approach are briefly compared. The described advanced concept is demonstrated using Dymola-Modelica environment. The result are clear, intuitive and reusable model components among which the heat exchanger will be described in more details. The described model was validated with real measurements.
