Abstract :
HRT is a public television in Croatia. Its duty and obligation is to broadcast the most important political, cultural and sporting events in Croatia. The inauguration of the Croatian President has been the most important political event of the year. The term of office for the Croatian President is 5 years. The ceremony of the inauguration of the president takes place once every five years and because of that, the technical teams had a big responsibility and they couldn´t afford to make even the smallest mistake. The inauguration of the Croatian President takes place at St. Mark´s Square. This has been the place for the presidential inauguration since the first direct presidential elections took place in 1992. That year (1992) the first Croatian President Franjo Tuđman took an oath in front of the south portal of St. Mark´s Church. St. Mark´s Square has been the center of Croatian political life for centuries. Today, the Croatian Parliament, Government and the Constitutional Court are found on St. Mark´s Square. The distinct characteristic of the square is St Mark´s Church, which dates from the 13th century and is known for its colorful roof depicting the former Croatian coat of arms and the coat of arms of Slavonia and Dalmatia and Zagreb.
