Abstract :
This article presents the results of a study that looks at how participation in a robot competition conducted by university students in engineering contributed the development of basic professional skills in the creators of the robots. The study was performed by circulating one survey to the participants of robot competitions in two different contexts: The first, using open questions was done using participants of the prestigious international competition EUROBOT during the 2007 final held in France; The second, more extensive survey, was done using a wide selection of participants from the competition held at the University of Alcalá.
