Diakoptic analysis of electromagnetic problems using method of moments and finite-element method

We present the principle of combining the method of moments and the finite-element method using the diakoptic approach. In both methods, higher-order basis functions are implemented. This combination yields a technique that can numerically analyze complicated electromagnetic structures. The efficiency of the new technique dramatically supersedes the existing algorithms, and the memory requirements are significantly reduced.
