Abstract
The paper tries to determine the influence of audiovisual asynchrony on perception of speech. Visual information increases intelligibility of spoken words in complex intermodal integration. This integration is very sensitive to existence of asynchrony. Understanding how high the tolerance to asynchrony in our perception is can help in various fields of research. These improvements can be applied whenever transmission of both sound and picture is needed.
