Abstract :
This article describes the proposal of a voice Identity distribution system based on the data hiding technique. One of the significant risks is that the speech signal transmitted via open telephone or radio connections is subject to unauthorized subscriber impersonation and unauthorized voice message edition. The presented system constitutes an alternative for existing solutions and takes advantage of data hiding techniques for providing voice service subscriber authentication and authorized subscriber´s voice identity change. It is possible to carry out a telephone conversation for and on behalf of other subscriber. In the described system a selected identity is allocated to the subscriber´s voice or to a synthesized voice by generating a watermark signature and embedding it in the voice signal. The proposed identity distribution mechanism allows for a temporary borrowing of voice identity to act for and on behalf of the person that cedes the identity.
