Abstract
In this paper an implementation of a wireless tensiometer with smartphone interface for personal use is present. The prototype has been developed to allow the final user to keep a register of its own blood pressure measurement. The application also can generate a report with the measurement data that can be sent to a doctor or to an online database historical profile keeping, which may be useful for remote diagnosis procedures. The device establishes the communication with the smartphone via Bluetooth. The smartphone interface was developed in Worklight, which gives the possibility to synthetize the application on different operating systems for smartphone such as iOS, Blackberry OS and Android OS.
