  • Abstract
    This paper describes approach based on the particle swarm optimization with improved inertia weight approach (PSOIIW) to improve nulling performance of time modulated linear antenna arrays by Radio Frequency (RF) switch. The nulls position of a time modulated linear array can be reduced significantly by rearranging the static excitation amplitudes as well as the wtich-on intervals of each element. The approach is illustrated through The PSOIIW adjusts the excitation amplitude of each radiating element to place deep nulls in the desired direction. Various results are presented to show the advantages of this approach considering one and multiple desired nulls.
