Abstract :
In computerized numerical control machine tool, it is needed to modify the feed-rate when it exceeds the limitation in any linkage axes. Due to the motion of axes constrained by the relation of multi-axis, it is only prolong the process time to slow down the feed-rate in the five-axis CNC machine. This method decreases the production efficiency. With the advantage of redundancy degree in six-axis CNC machine tool, the paper presents a way of postprocessor that avoids lowering the velocity of axes in the feed-rate checking. It is develop a mathematics model which reflect the relation between feed-rate and velocity limitation, and adjust the motion of the redundancy axis to make the variance equation in the model become the minimal value. An experiment has been conducted on a six-axis machine tool which worked as fix-axis and six-axis mode separately. The result shows that the postprocessor for feed-rate optimal can be used to reduce the process time.
