Abstract :
In this work, the temperature compensated frequency generating circuit is designed using a standard 0.18 μm CMOS technology. The architecture of the proposed circuit is based on the differential current controlled ring oscillator. The temperature independent frequency signal from the circuit has been obtained by using the principle of the reversal of the temperature behavior with the supply voltage. In the temperature ranging from -40°C to 85°C this behavior appeared at the supply voltage value of 1V±10% during the measurement of eight prototypes. In this temperature range, with an average power consumption of 2.3μW the proposed circuit generates an average frequency of 355 KHz with the mean frequency inaccuracy of 1.53%with respect to the temperature.
