Abstract
A novel Slotted Waveguide Antenna (SWGA) design utilizing parasitic inverted L-shaped dipole elements is presented. The dipoles located near the longer sides of the slots acts as another radiation source. When both sources are combined in proper amplitude and phase, the overall antenna performance will be enhanced. The presented design shows higher antenna gain and the front-to-back (F/B) ratio, but reduced mutual coupling between slots. A comparison between performance of conventional and proposed SWGA designs is also presented.
