Abstract :
A series of 8λ0 radius non-Luneburg lenses were simulated in a commercially available full wave simulator with the same scalar feed. These lens designs are considered to be suitable for production by additive manufacturing as the relative permittivities are well above 1. The aperture efficiencies were all above 75% across 12.5% bandwidth. The peak cross-polarized radiation in the main lobe was found to be an artifact of the scalar feed, and not lens design. The significant differences in radiation pattern performance of the different lens designs were outside of the main lobe and back lobe.
