  • Abstract
The amplitude-frequency characteristics (AFC) of echoes from Es-layer were observing many years for explanation the nature formation theory of Es-layer (see for example [Chessell et al., 1973; Jalonen, 1981; Turunen et.al, 1980]). The AFC of ionospheric traces with taking into account the antenna direction diagram can be the frequency dependence of a reflection coefficient of the layers. The main interest of researchers were focusing on the observation of partial penetration region below the critical frequency of the Es-traces. The real height and full wave analysis were performing to explain recorded gain variation in high-latitude regions [Jalonen et al., 1982]. In [Akchurin and Usupov, 2011] the properties of O- and X-modes interference pattern were described. This paper describes frequency and amplitude properties the one of interfering beating cases namely the interfering beatings of O- and Z-modes. Such Es-traces interference pattern modelling was performing to explain the form of electron density profiles of E- and Es-layers.
