Abstract
Virtual line source radiation at a microwave frequency using metamaterials is presented. Resonant inclusion-based metamaterials in the form of printed resonators on low-loss dielectric substrates are designed and fabricated. A parallel-plate waveguide simulator measurement of a metamaterial-embedded probe current radiation in a ground recess confirms formation of a virtual source above the ground plane.
