Time-Domain antenna arrays for future phased array applications

The application of the time-domain antenna array the future phased arrays is discussed. First, the harmonic beamforming of the time-domain array is discussed. The quasi single sideband (QSSB) modular is introduced into the time-domain array to improve its efficiency compared to the conventional ON-OFF modulation. Second, the application of the time modulation in the calibration of the phased array is discussed. After the periodical phase modulation, the channel mismatches of the phased array can be calculated out in parallel by analyzing the spectrum of the generated harmonic components.
