Abstract :
This paper presents a miniaturized antenna for ultra high frequency (UHF) Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications. Basic structure of the antenna is a printed monopole fed through a microstrip line. A magneto-dielectric material MF114 is used as superstrate to achieve antenna miniaturization as well as increase its bandwidth. This antenna works at 480MHz, and has 8.3MHz bandwidth. Dimension of its whole structure is 60mm×60mm×4mm, length and width of the antenna is just 0.097λ × 0.097λ. The proposed antenna is promising to be integrated into compact nodes for M2M communications.
