  • Abstract
We deal with an approach for RCS calculations of perfectly electric conducting scatterers, based on an efficient hybrid GO/PO method. The efficiency of the approach stems on two different aspects: software and hardware. Indeed, ray tracing exploits the Bounding Volume Hierarchy technique, inherited from computer graphics, which is well suited for parallel computing on Graphics Processor Units (GPUs). Numerical RCS results on a test case involving a corner reflector embedded in a homogeneous medium are presented and compared with a reference provided by a FEKO MoM simulation.
