Abstract
A broadband printed angled-dipole array antenna is presented in this communication. The printed two-element dipole array is fed by an adjustable integrated balun to maintain the broadband performance. The measured results show that the proposed antenna achieves 39.5% of banwidth, and stable radiation pattern with a peak gain of 4.42dBi-6.33dBi over the operating band. With the proper 45°angle of dipole arms and with a radome, the widest H-plane beamwidth is achieved. The applications of this design in the high data-rate communication systems and automotive radars are promising.
