Abstract :
A circularly polarized matched feed is utilized to correct the adverse property of squinted beams of the secondary radiation patterns in offset parabolic reflector antennas. The matched feed is a circularly polarized dual-mode waveguide antenna, producing a tapered distribution at its fundamental mode. The modes of interest are the TE11 and TE21 type modes of circular waveguides.
