Abstract
Mobile learning is becoming a common experience especially for young people by using state-of-the-art mobile devices able to process large amount of information and equipped with large responsive displays and different kind of sensors. In the development of such mobile learning applications, the ability to notice user behaviour and emotions can lead to better learning experiences and thus increasing the acceptance and the efficiency of the software products. In this paper we propose a multimodal affective monitoring tool that grasp data from the sensors in a quest for more precise affective states assessment. The architecture design and the implementation of the foreign language learning application are described. The results of a usability test are presented along with lessons learned and future works.
