Abstract :
This article is focused on the forms and strategies of training evaluators for program accreditation and certification of engineers developed and implemented by the Association for Engineering Education of Russia. Current training programs are discussed as well as future proposals are mentioned. Evaluator competencies are defined and briefly described. The main principles of development and implementation of evaluator training programs are outlined, namely competency-based approach, student-centered approach and the theories of constructivism and connectivism. In conclusion recommendations for training evaluators for program accreditation and engineers certification are provided.
