  • Abstract
    This paper presents the outage performance analysis of L-branch maximal ratio combining (L-MRC) diversity scheme in equally correlated η-μ fading channels. Closed-form analytical expression of level crossing rate (LCR) for the combiner output signal-to-noise (SNR) and thereby the expressions for average outage duration (AOD) are derived. Numerical results have been presented to illustrate the effect of average SNR, threshold SNR, diversity order and the channel fading parameters on the performance of L-MRC scheme in terms of LCR and the AOD.
