Abstract :
ZigBee based on the IEEE 802.15.4 specification, as a system dedicated for Wireless Sensor Networks, is intended to operate in license-exempt bands. Interference sources span system such radiators as microwave ovens, ubiquitous WLAN devices and Bluetooth. Multipath propagation may create another cause of performance degradation. PER measurements outcomes are presented to demonstrate ZigBee resilience to both interference and multipath propagation.
