Abstract :
An ultra-wideband Y-splitter based on ultrathin plasmonic metamaterials is presented at microwave frequencies. The Y-splitter consists of a plasmonic waveguide having composite structure and two branches with symmetric grooves decorated on metallic surface. Attributing to their similar dispersion relations, the spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) supported by the plasmonic waveguide with composite period are equally associated to the two branches to form power divider. It is believed to be very applicable in future integrating conventional microwave and terahertz SSPPs devices.
