Abstract :
This paper deals with a possible exploitation of a hyperspectral sensor, as an UAV integrated subsystem, in civil monitoring scenarios. Starting from the description of the hyperspectral technology, exploitation domains and possible advantages of unmanned airborne applications, this article addresses some important specific issues for monitoring scenarios. An example is carried out highlighting the most challenging issues concerning the sensor integration on an Unmanned Air Vehicle, both from the structural and the mission planning point of view. In the end, some suggestions aimed at guaranteeing an optimal regular service for monitoring activities are proposed.
