Abstract
The operational safety of an organization is equally influenced by the opportunities and the risks of human resources. No single person is able to perform professional activities of the operational processes, because business continuity has to be guaranteed also in the case of absence. In reality the competence level of those people who have the same professional competences can be different, so they could need different length of time to perform the same task. In this study a mathematic method will be presented which - in knowing processes and individual professional competence levels - determines the expectable length of processes using quantitative methods, depending on the person who fulfils the elementary activities of the process. With the help of the model hazards of process delay belonging to the different human resource allocation can be determined and it can be used in the course of business continuation planning.
