Abstract
This paper investigates channel correlation of sea data for short coherent processing intervals for different sea states and different phase center separations. For this evaluation several sea data sets were collected with the airborne multichannel radar system PAMIR. A higher channel decorrelation due to sea scatterer motion is demonstrated for higher sea states and higher phase center separations. Additionally, a model is derived to calculate the correlation, which matches well with the real one for different sea states and different phase center separations.
