Abstract
We have proposed the extension of the Super resolution FM-Chirp correlation Method (SCM) to the scheme of synthetic aperture imaging. The original SCM is based on the carrier phase information, which is useful for super resolution imaging, by transmitting a focused beam many times while changing frequency little by little towards each imaging direction. This multiple transmitting and receiving increases the amount of processing and puts a strict limit on the frame rate. Therefore, we extended the SCM to the synthetic aperture version called the SA-SCM. However, the SA-SCM is expected to be inferior to the SCM from the viewpoint of resolution. In this study, we confirm the degree of such the performance degradation by finite element method (FEM) simulations.
