Abstract
The value of radiofrequency (RF) spectrum is one of the most interesting topics of frequency management. As a scarce natural resource, RF spectrum is an attractive and valuable asset whose value should match its potential and the interest of the operators. However, determining the price of RF spectrum is a complex matter, since series of parameters and conditions need to be considered. Nonetheless, it is necessary to set some guidelines and establish appropriate methodology that could be applied for the future spectrum allocations. This paper investigates the achieved prices of digital dividend (800 MHz) in Croatia and Europe. Based on the collected data, the paper analyses applied methodologies and provides some guidelines for determining the RF spectrum price.
