Abstract
Cellular networks are widely used for mobile voice and data communication between telephones or digital terminals. The system architecture consists of base station subsystem, network and switching subsystem, etc. and mobile stations. The structure of the system is established but very complex, mainly in case of use the system for communication between only two points. Other problems are the low reliability of the connection and latency for indoor applications. This paper deals with investigation of indoor signal propagation of mobile communication system operating on ultra high frequencies. The results of measurements and signal propagation models are useful for the design of an independent system with high connection reliability and switching speed in complicated indoor environment. The systems are typically useful for rescue teams, who cannot use public cellular networks.
