  • Abstract
In order to realize a Shogi program that can select natural moves, in this paper, we propose a method for predicting natural moves based on the flow of preceding moves. We extracted the sequence of moves appearing frequently in the game records of professional Shogi players and compared them with the game records of Shogi programs. We proposed a method that considers the flow of preceding moves, relates them to the extracted sequences, mentioned above, and overestimates them when selecting the next move. We conducted an experiment with experts to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed system. Further, we discussed the nature of moves using the results of this experiment.
