Abstract
Changes worldwide in electricity market can allow the spreading of distributed generation (DG), with some consequent impacts on operational characteristics of distribution networks. So, innovative studies for avoiding negative impacts become necessary to maintain and ease the continued expansion towards DG deployment. This paper presents a study aiming at determination of strategies for defining DG operating regimes. For this, it is developed a multicriteria process by using the M-MACBETH decision support. This paper analyzes both quantitative and qualitative parameters to meet the appropriate DG operating regimes. The main objective of this paper is to present a period for DG dispatch optimization according to power quality concerns. The considerations and results described in this paper make part of the Research & Development Program developed by ELETROSUL and Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Brazil.
