Abstract
The paper discusses the development of a masters level course on Electric Drivers and Motion Control delivered at the Department of Electric Drives of the National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute”. The revision of course curriculum has been forced by (1) rapid development of industry in the area of electric drives and (2) the introduction of Bologna Reforms into European higher education. A short description of the taught subjects is given and then the motor control subject is considered in detail including lecture content, coursework and instructional laboratory works.
