Abstract :
It has been recently shown that the multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) radar has the potential to dramatically improve the performance of the conventional radar systems. In this paper, we focus on the parameter estimation problem of the transmit diversity MIMO radar. The adaptive pulse compression is a widely used method in MIMO radar because of its superior performance to suppress the range sidelobes. To reduce the computational complexity of the classic adaptive pulse compression, an iteratively adaptive pulse compression is proposed in this paper. The effect of the Doppler phase shift on the adaptive pulse compression is also considered. The Doppler compensation for the MIMO radar in the sparse targets scenario and the non-sparse targets scenario are discussed, respectively. The results of the simulation experiments show that the proposed method can achieve 20~30dB lower range sidelobes than that without the Doppler compensation.
