  • Abstract
    We experimentally compare pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) and discrete multi-tone (DMT) using a 1310-nm silicon photonics intensity modulator for four fiber lengths. DMT achieves 120 Gb/s at 2 km and 110 Gb/s at 10 km, below the FEC threshold of 3.7e-3.
